| DESCRIPTION |
With performances ranging from specialist concerts to formal themed events and an extensive repertoire of over 360 songs, the Tuxedo Swing experience could be exactly what you’ve been looking for to complete your night’s entertainment.
The Tuxedo Swing Orchestra has over the years become a house hold name synonymous with the authetic musical reproduction of the 1920~40’s big band eras - a period when dancing was the most popular form of entertainment.
It was the time when the great swing bands like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and others ruled the air waves and together they brought some of world’s great vocalists like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Ella Fitzgerald to the hearts of the world - their music was truly rich in style, glamour, romance and rhythm.
The Tuxedo Swing Orchestra recreates this era with some of New Zealand’s best known musicians and regularly plays to dance audiences throughout Auckland. In addition to this, they are always in demand for corporate “Academy Award" style nights, themed events and specialist concerts.

Thanks!! On April 25th (ANZAC day) and 26th Tuxedo Swing appeared in Keri Keri and Whangarei showcasing their new vocal line up and program. The concerts were a huge success and I have been overwhelmed by the wonderful comments about the shows. Thanks to Dorchester Life and the Freemason's for their generous support. Without them we certainly wouldn't have been able to get the concerts off the ground and this now gives us the encouragement to plan for more in the future!.. Perhaps Auckland is the next logical location... watch this space!
