| DESCRIPTION |
The Spider Blue Band was formed by lead guitarist Steve Webb. His influence from blues and rock music initiated the band and hence the name. This suited the buoyant summer winery scene of Hawkes Bay.
Spider Blue band members have a depth of musical talent and a wide range in taste of music. The band has built a bigger repertoire to cover wider genres that suit all age groups. They maintain a blues edge to their performances which give them their distinctive sound. They are vocally strong with Richard Rameka on lead vocals (winner of best vocalist - Rockquest 2007) and backing vocals provided by Steve Webb and Ray Edwards.
